Armenia Escapes
Experience the best of Armenia in 5 days with a comfortable stay in Yerevan, guided excursions to Gyumri, Khor Virap, Garni, Geghard, Tsaghkadzor and Lake Sevan, along with cultural experiences, scenic landscapes, local tastings and traditional Armenian cuisine.
This 5-day Armenia tour package begins in Yerevan and follows a varied route through Gyumri, Harichavank, Khor Virap, Garni, Geghard, Tsaghkadzor and Lake Sevan.
What sets the itinerary apart is its distinctive opening. Rather than beginning only with the familiar monastery-and-mountain classics, it first introduces Gyumri, with its artistic streets, black tuff architecture and warm local atmosphere. From there, Armenia gradually opens into wider landscapes and centuries-old sacred sites.
In Gyumri, the program includes the Gyumri Urban Life Museum (Dzitoghtsyan), the Black Fortress, historic quarters and the quiet strength of Harichavank. The next excursion turns toward Khor Virap, where Mount Ararat fills the horizon, then continues to Azat Reservoir, Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery before ending with the aroma of freshly baked lavash.
The final sightseeing day leads to Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastery, the ropeway, Sevanavank and a trout barbecue by the water. With attentive guiding and a comfortable pace, the journey reveals Armenia through city life, sacred stone, mountain air, local flavors and open scenery.

Tour Itinerary
Arrive at Yerevan International Airport and meet your driver. Proceed with a private transfer to your hotel in Yerevan, approximately 15–20 minutes depending on traffic.
Check in to the hotel and relax after your journey. The rest of the day is free for leisure. You can explore the nearby streets, cafés and restaurants around the city centre at your own pace.
This full-day tour from Yerevan introduces Gyumri – Armenia's second-largest city – with its historic streets, museum heritage and fortress architecture, before continuing to Harichavank Monastery. Over 10-11 hours, you will discover one of the country's most distinctive cities, walk through its old quarters and then travel to a well-known monastic complex on the western slope of Mount Aragats.
The route presents Gyumri as one of Armenia's major cultural centers, where 19th-century architecture and a strong local character still shape the cityscape. At the Gyumri Urban Life Museum (Dzitoghtsyan), you will gain insight into the history and everyday life of old Gyumri, while a stop at the Black Fortress, built in 1834, adds an important historical dimension to the tour. After an optional lunch break, the journey concludes at Harichavank Monastery, a historic complex set on a rocky cape above the surrounding landscape.
Following one of Armenia's most historically layered routes, this full-day tour from Yerevan combines pilgrimage history, dramatic scenery, and local culinary tradition with pagan architecture and rock-cut monastic heritage. Over 8-9 hours, the journey unfolds through landmark sites, scenic stops, and hands-on cultural moments, bringing together some of the country's most iconic chapters in a single day.
The experience begins at Khor Virap, a celebrated pilgrimage site and one of Armenia's most iconic viewpoints for Mount Ararat, then continues to a scenic overlook of the Azat Reservoir. After an optional lunch break, the tour features a traditional lavash baking masterclass, adding a flavorful touch before reaching Garni Temple – Armenia's only standing pagan temple – and concludes at the UNESCO-listed Geghard Monastery, partly carved into the surrounding rock.
Linking Armenia's best-known mountain resort with one of its most famous lake destinations, this full-day tour from Yerevan traces a route from the slopes of Tsaghkadzor to the shores of Lake Sevan, combining monastery heritage, ropeway panoramas and classic natural scenery in one well-rounded day. Over 7-8 hours, it offers a varied experience of mountain views, cultural landmarks and lakeside atmosphere, complemented by local culinary highlights.
The route begins in Tsaghkadzor, the "Valley of Flowers", and continues to Kecharis Monastery, an 11th-13th century monastic complex set among the resort town's mountain surroundings. After a ropeway ride to the first station, with wide views over the slopes, the tour heads to Lake Sevan, one of Armenia's best-known natural landmarks, and Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula above the water. The itinerary also includes a lunch stop, with the option to enjoy a classic Sevan trout barbecue by the lake.
